Exams and Doubts

Thank you for visiting our site. Keep coming again and again! Have U visited www.sacjournalism.blogspot.com?
Due to the University annual exams and vacation, not many “activities” are being conducted; students are busy with exams; hence, this Department blog is not updated regularly.

On 08 March my Second Yr Journalism students write their Journalism paper. I wish all of them fruitful exams. May all their hard work and noble desires fructify. May God bless you with good memory, writing speed, and discretion. Come out through flying colours.

One of (II Yrs) you had asked me about ‘hand-out’ journalism. Well, you dont have to worry too much about it. It is a pejorative term employed by those cynics who find nothing good in ‘Development Journalism.’ They think that Development Journalists are all the time busy with spreading information for the government and similar agencies, using their (publicity) hand-outs. Thus they work as the ‘hand-outs’ of such agencies, is the accusation of these critics.

This accusation does not deserve as much attention as the accusation of those moralists who accuse ‘fashion journalists’ as the marketmen/ marketgirls of lingerie shops!

Good wishes
