05 Aug. A few memories of the Belfasts’ Ulster Museum – the way to teach kids history and heritage, and cement the spirit of humanism, history, and heredity among adults:
–>Bringing dinosaur to life
–>Girona War Ship
–> Irish “khadi”
–> Wolf in Ireland
–> Stone-age in Ireland
–> Fighting the Enemy: cannons and cannon balls preserved in the museum (+ description of the cannon balls below)
–> Many of the images have been deleted; some information has been left on banners
–> Many of the Egyptian museums house a lot of material on Egyptian civilisation (and to some extent on Indian culture/ civilisation, too. Can you guess why?)
–> this child feels at home in this Ulster museum! Kids have enough stuff to keep themselves in these museums. Parents feel relieved to bring them, and imbibe in them a spirit of history and heritage, national pride! (I mean, the child in the above picture is real, playing on some artifacts in the museum!) You will see hundreds such kids running around in these museums and watching displays and animations!
–> And the history of the earth and the universe!
–> Who says youngsters don’t like history?
–>One of the early cards produced in Ireland
–> Painting of St Christopher carrying Jesus (Christopher literally means one who carries the Christ)
