Changes at the Helm: Editorial and Business – The Hindu

A family is a family is a family is a family in business at India’s “most trusted” newspaper group!
I am yet to make out why the just-“resigned” editor Siddharth Varadarajan resigned – has it to do with The Hindu family’s trust (hence not ‘resigned’) or the paper’s “glorious editorial policies” (hence ‘made to resign’) or foreign passport issue with which the outgoing editor was attacked recently (hence forced to resign). Probably the reasons will be out in the next couple of days.
In this episode what interests me is the media’s integrity – media-owner’s commitment to media vis-a-vis profits. Otherwise, it should be their private affair, and hence not our concern.
