Wear belt even if you are in rear seat – The Hindu

In India, we don’t have mandatory seat belt for rear-passengers while travelling in a four-wheeler. But the recent mortal accident of Mr Gopinath Munde (Union Cabinet Minister) has brought into focus the necessity of wearing of belt by such passengers.
Should it be made compulsory? Or could our sense of safety make us wear it even if the law doesn’t mandate it?
