The protests outside that Narendra Modi and Madison Square Garden won’t see

There is much bruhaha about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to USA and how he “sold” India, how he met 17 CEOs of top companies (none of whom is a new customer! All with units in India already!)

There was another stark side to this much-hyped visit: the protests against Modi holding accountable for Gujarat pogrom, killing of Sikhs (as placards show), and all the hate crime triggered by his & his party’s speech. But Indian media failed to give due space and time to this.

When Mrs Sonia Gandhi was issued summons by a US court (because of protests holding her “responsible” for the killing of Sikhs in the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984) on her private visit to the US last year, Indian media went gaga over it (it’s none of my concern;  let her get the summons! No issue with that), why not this one?
