MCMS Student Petula Secures Research Project

03 Oct. Research is a much-prized thing in academics as well as any Development. That is how any technology, knowledge economy, progress takes place. That’s why (one reason) we need theories and theoretical learning and research.

It is important for teaching faculty to engage in active research. UGC demands that. Colleges and universities want that. But not many do it or not interested.
Here is a soothing bit of news: a student of ours has secured a research project. Ms Petula Ann Dias of MCMS (PG – 3rd Semester) at St Aloysius College took up the challenge. And her desire and determination were recognised by thehoot.
Ms Petula Dias will receive a small amount of monetary aid. That apart -more importantly- it will help the student concerned to launch herself on an internationally acclaimed media forum, and be noticed.
She will do her research internship (as it is called) on monitoring a local website for environmentally related coverage for a period of two months.
Hearty congratulations to Ms Petula Dias, and all the best for a meaningful, effective research project
