14 Jan. Shame after shame to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s gang of 11. After the very bad drubbing (a clean 8-0) in England, they are being mopped floor with by a half-size Australian cricket team! It’s 2-0 under four days each. Now, it’s most likely 3-0 on the third evening itself, though I had predicted more lenient 2nd possibility(“if not by the end of the third day….at the most by lunch session on the 4th day!”)
How about lodging a PIL against BCCI & its gang of 11 kids abusing India’s name for their profiteering team? They just are not the Country’s representatives! They are the commercial autocratic body BCCI’s! Not elected by the public, refuse to pay tax; not open to public scrutiny or RTI.
They -the cricketers and the BCCI- hardly care for the country. When the rivals mop floor with them, humiliate them with clean sweeps on sporting pitches, some newspapers/ commentators comment “India is bad!” Michael Vaughan tweets, “Ausies look very good, India garbage!” Insult to us – the innocent ones! Not Vaughny’s fault, either. These lazy, home-pampered paper tigers are forced to pretend that they represent India! It’s not true! This propaganda against India must stop.
BCCI must be considered a private limited corporate, controlled by politicians and businessmen. They should be treated like Infosys, Wipro, Reliance, (My apologies, if this offends these more accountable private concerns!)
